The Rajarani is one of the most renowned and famous temple in Bhubaneswar. It was built in between 10th and 11th century. Bhubaneswar Rajarani Temple is believed to have been known originally as Indreswara and It is locally known as a Love Temple because of the amorous graves of women and couples in the temple. This temple was dedicated to Lord Brahma and is known for its well-patterned tower.

The sculptural images of the temple are elegant and lively, especially the beautiful female figures, which can be seen in amorous trifling, as well as engaged in such activities as holding children, looking in mirrors, and playing with pet birds.

The Rajarani takes its name from the local limestone used to build it. The temple no longer has an image of the deity in the sanctuary but it’s strong Saiva associations are testified from the figures of Shiva and Parvati on the platform and Saiva doorkeepers.
