Cuttack is known as the Cultural Capital of Odisha. It is the second largest city of Odisha. It is one of the oldest towns and is situated 30 km away from the capital city Bhubaneswar. Before 1956 Cuttack was the capital of Odisha. In 1956 the capital changed from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar. It is landed on the bank of river Mahanadi. Cuttack is well known for its Silver filigree work. Gada Chandi Temple is another famous temple in Cuttack. It is situated in the Barabati Fort. It is one of the oldest temples in Cuttack.

Dhabaleswar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated at a distance of 27km from the city of Cuttack. This place is famous for Lord Shiva and mainly for the hanging bridge and in Odia called Jhula Polo.

Daatan Sahib Gurdwara a holy historical Sikh shrine situated on the bank of river Mahanadi. Baisakhi is the famous festival celebrated here.

Qadam Rasul is a shrine visited both by Hindus and Muslims. This holy shrine is constructed by one Hindu Ruler for the Muslims. This shrine is mainly famous for its momentous architecture.

Jama Masjid is constructed during the Mughals. It is one of the oldest holy places in Cuttack.

Barabati Fort constructed in 14th century. Winter season is the best time to visit the fort.

Netaji Birth Place Museum is the birth place of Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Subhash Chandra Bose’s house has been converted into a museum and it has collection of belongings of Netaji.
